NOTE – It is each athletes responsibility to make sure they stay within the NCAA guidelines for fundraising. SaW is not responsible for illegal fundraising efforts. In compliance with NCAA rules, we cannot supply you with any tax exempt forms, collect money on your behalf, or contribute to your fundraising efforts.
Many athletes use fundraising to assist with or completely cover the expenses of a STUDENTathleteWorld Tour. With effort and a personal touch you should find the process of raising money for your trip quite simple. There are many ways to raise money for this trip and we have outlined some of them below. Starting an on-line fundraising campaign is a great way to ask family, friends, and your community to support you in this very exciting opportunity. Please use GoGetFunding using the link below and you can create an account in just minutes.
SOME IDEAS TO GET YOU STARTED
*Talk to your teachers, coaches, and school officials. They may have some ideas for team fundraisers and might be willing to help you.
*You can also try to run a local sports camp. Ask your Athletic Director or Coach at your school if you can rent the sports facility to run a small camp. Advertise locally and talk to as many local schools as you can. Charge the kids $50 for a 2-3 hour camp. You can teach kids basic fundamentals. Kids today will jump at the opportunity to work with high school and college athletes. You can also ask local businesses to sponsor you camp as well.
*Other ideas include: Car Wash, Bake Sale, Poker Tournaments, Golf Tournaments, 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, Spaghetti Dinner, and Auctions.
