Why Travel the World?
Watch the video below to see SaWUSA President Tim Ryerson explain how International Travel influenced his life.
The SaWUSA Story
Back in my previous life as a college coach, I coached four International tours with another travel company from 2005-2008. On those tours, I saw first hand how awesome of an experience it was to take kids from all over the country to represent the USA abroad.
In 2009, after 8 years as a College Basketball Coach I started a business called STUDENTathleteWorld, helping athletes get recruited. I loved the business side of things and a few years later was able to pivot my business towards International Travel. Travel has always been something that excited me. Leadership development and personal growth in young people is something I’m passionate about. I also love America and feel proud that our athletes act as AMBASSADORS of our great country when we travel. I truly believe what I do matters. I know on small level our trips help make the World a better place and make a difference in the lives of our travelers.
I hope you give our small company a chance to create a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for your family. From my family to yours, Go SaWUSA! -Tim Ryerson
Rob Jackson, Father of Bobby Jackson (Maryland)
"The thing that I enjoyed most about the trip was the people. We started out as strangers and ended up family. It was great to see my son make life long friends as well as me. The price was well worth it and I think very economical for what you got in return. The only negative thing I can say about the trip is that me and my son wished it was longer. The hotels were great, food was good and you usually had a variety of choices. Having traveled abroad multiple times, I must say it was nice to have a guide and provided transportation. It made the experience that much nicer because I didn't have to do anything logistically, and we always had the opportunity to venture out on our own if we chose to. I just want to let you know that your staff was great, and I would like to say that Coach Jake was not only a great coach, but an awesome man. I really cares about the kids. He truly treats the kids as his own. He was just great. He took a group of kids and not only did they look like they played together for years on the court, he was instrumental in having them gel off the court which was great. He was not only a coach but mentor, and he let the guys know that he is there for them for life, his mentorship doesn't end when everyone goes their separate ways. Bobby was already thinking about next summer. He wants to go again and so do I. You guys did a great job."
